We provide among the most advanced engineering support to structural design and architectural firms. Everything we do, we do to build green, sustainable and beautiful wood buildings.

    We currently have a full time opening for a motivated, professional and personable HR Coordinator whom can help us to prepare our company for the next big steps in 2020. Our head office and warehouses are located on the west coast in Surrey, BC, Canada with an east coast office in Montreal, QC. This position is for the Surrey head office.

    • Your Role

      • Maintain a workplace environment encouraging cooperation between professionals from a variety of backgrounds as well as a healthy work life balance
      • Support the full cycle recruiting process by posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, issuing employment contracts, and conducting orientations
      • Maintaining HR records, both paper and electronic, ensuring all employment requirements are met
      • Respond to internal/external HR related inquiries by providing assistance; redirecting more complex calls and distributing correspondence as needed.
      • Develop, implement and monitor work environment policies.
      • Develop continuous improvement programs such as internal communications and systems improvements
      • Manage staff performance reviews
      • Assist with payroll to ensure that changes affecting pay are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
      • Coordinate benefits plan, vacation entitlement and schedules.
      • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Organize team-building events to create and support a healthy organizational culture

      • What You Bring

        • A professional and motivated work attitude with a passion for exploring new ideas and methods on human resource coordination
        • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations
        • 2+ years of experience in an HR Role
        • Knowledge of local labour (BC and Quebec) and employment laws, including, but not limited to: Employment Standards, Human Rights Code, Labour/Employee Relations
        • Good computer software skills, especially in MS Office products
        • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks
        • Demonstrated professionalism with proven ability to handle confidential information
        • Demonstrated initiative and drive
        • An ability to build trusting relationships
